About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY:

Northeastern University-Oakland Campus is seeking a reliable and responsible driver to assist in safely transporting college students to a variety of activities and events. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young adults, have flexibility in their schedule, and have a commitment to safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Safely transport college students to and from activities, events, and other scheduled destinations in a timely manner.
Willingness to be CPR certified and Van trained.
Ensure the safety of passengers by obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
Maintain a clean vehicle, conducting routine checks for safety and maintenance issues.
Communicate effectively with passengers, providing assistance and information as needed.
Maintain a schedule and ensure punctuality for pickups and drop-offs including accounting for students arriving at an event or returning to campus independently.
Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents.
Activating EAP as needed and filling out required incident report forms within 24 hours of any personal injury or incident that occurred during activity.
Report any vehicle issues or accidents to the appropriate supervisor.
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years of age
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor
Ability to interact positively with college students and ensure their safety
A commitment to safe driving practices
Punctuality and reliability
Knowledge of the local area and its roadways is a plus
Nighttime and weekend availability

The expected hiring rate for this position is approximately USD $20.00-22.00 per hour based on applicant experience as well as the position's scope and responsibilities.
