Essential Functions:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide daily transportation operations in the North Carolina Central University Transportation & Parking Services Department. These responsibilities include driver scheduling, DOT compliance, preventative maintenance, special request trips, and driver training. This position will provide leadership and direction, coordinating with the Transportation & Parking Services Director to ensure student, faculty and staff expectations are met, cost is controlled and equipment is well maintained and the appearance of our drivers and equipment are up to standards.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, and national laws; knowledge of DOT regulations; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Application; ability to evaluate staff for compliance with safety standards; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.

Salary and Benefits:
$31,200 - $48,640
