Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Assistant Director for Student Accounts Operations, the Student Accounts Operations Coordinator is responsible for student account data integrity, preparation, analysis and presentation to departmental and university constituencies. The Coordinator is responsible for Banner Account Receivable system set up, including fee assessment rules, for each term for specific student populations in order to facilitate accurate tuition, housing, and fee and exemption transactions are applied to students. The Coordinator is responsible for processing of faculty/staff tuition waivers.

The Coordinator provides the highest level of customer service, while complying with all federal and state laws, regulations and guidance and University policies. The Coordinator has demonstrated aptitude for analytical work, is able to present data and findings to a variety of audiences and has the technical skills necessary to successfully liaise with the Information Technology Services department on various projects.

The Coordinator supports Student Financial Services as a system expert for the Banner Accounts Receivable module and provides training and resolution to staff inquiries. The Coordinator provides outstanding customer service to internal and external colleagues, including students.

The Student Accounts Operations Coordinator works collaboratively with key partners around the University to fully support students and the required business processes related to his/her job functions. Partners include HRM, University Health and Counseling, Registrar, Housing, Finance, College Professional Studies, the Professional Advancement Network. We Care and the Office of Global Services.

The Student Accounts Operations Coordinator works to support the overall goals and mission of Student Financial Services and assists with ad hoc projects and requests of Student Financial Services leadership. As needed the Coordinator performs Student Account Representative tasks, including but not limited to payment and refund processing as well as customer service functions, to support timely and accurate resolution of students' accounts. The Coordinator represents the University at public events, including but not limited to, open houses, admitted student days, and new student orientations.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required.
A minimum of 3-5 years related work experience required in Student Accounts/Bursar/Business Office setting.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive approach and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to effectively communicate with various constituents, i.e. faculty, staff, administrators, students, parents, company officials and government personnel.
Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability and proven history of motivation to achieve shared goals.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; experience with Banner, PowerFAIDS, Liquid Office, CashNet, SQL and Tableau preferred.
Excellent oral/written communications and analytical skills and effective prioritization skills.
Creative thinking skills and solutions-oriented.
Demonstrated success working with a diverse student population.
