Staff Assistant


The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Staff Assistant.

Applications will be accepted until 11/2/2017.

The primary responsibility is to provide administrative/clerical support to the Chair and Professor of the Naval Science Department (PNS). The Staff Assistant provides University liaison support to the PNS and Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) faculty staff. Supervisor normally provides general instructions and work priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Resume must provide sufficient specialized experience (6-12 months min.) and/or education, skills, and abilities to perform administrative/clerical duties. Specialized experience must demonstrate: (1) maintain records and files in accordance with organizational procedures; (2) use database system to input data, query, and retrieve information; and (3) coordinate/inform personnel of meetings, requirements, and procedures.
  • Three (3) references are required. Provide reference names, title, phone number, and email address.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data entry certification.
  • Microsoft Office certification.
