About the Position:

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Senior Director of Annual Campaigns and Stewardship. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

The Senior Director of Annual Campaigns and Stewardship reporting to the Executive Director, Development, is responsible for all aspects of annual giving campaigns, donor stewardship, parent and family relations and Concert Under the Stars for Cal State Fullerton. The Senior Director will have responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to meet unit and university goals for annual giving. This position will develop annual campaigns tactics and facilitate annual fund efforts for colleges and/or programs. This position will manage and ensure best practices for donor stewardship. The Senior Director will manage fundraising efforts for the University's signature event, Concert Under the Stars including managing the concert's fundraising committee and be responsible for meeting established fundraising goals. This position will oversee parent and family relations including service, event and fundraising activities. The position will also carry a donor prospect portfolio. The Senior Director serves as the division specialist ensuring that all annual giving and stewardship activities are executed with the highest possible professionalism and effectiveness. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Five years demonstrated annual giving or related fundraising experience. Superior written and communication skills. Ability to understand the culture of a university. Proficiency in the use of general office equipment and windows based computer programs.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Special Working Conditions:
Must be able to travel to meet with donor prospects.

The scope of responsibilities for this position includes the making or participating in the making of decisions that may have a material financial benefit on the incumbent. Therefore, you will be required to file an initial Conflict of Interest Form 700: Statement of Economic Interests within thirty (30) days from date of hire and on an annual basis; and complete the CSU sponsored ethics on-line training within thirty (30) days of appointment, and at least once during each consecutive period of two calendar years following the appointment.
