About the Position:

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is driven by student success. We are searching for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Project Manager, Academic Resources. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Senior Director, Academic Finances and Space Management, the Project Manager, Academic Resources, works independently and exercises considerable latitude in a collaborative, fast-paced, and detail-oriented position to meet strategic and operational goals through skilled analysis, oversight, execution, direction, and coordination of physical academic resource projects and operations. Exercises personal initiative, professional/sound judgment, and proficiency in initiating and completing simultaneous complex projects while using exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and team-work skills. Utilizes knowledge of academic organizational processes to independently manage a wide variety of programs and time sensitive project assignments. Leads work in specifically assigned areas of operation, with a primary focus on academic facility improvements. Facilitates, advises on, and manages many multi-faceted and diverse projects. Effectively and efficiently works with administrators, staff, faculty, and multiple constituents and operations across campus to ensure the highest quality output and timely results. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or a related field. Eight years of progressively responsible experience managing projects/processes. Demonstrated experience interpreting, documenting, communicating, and reinforcing processes and policies plus exceptional technical skills related to
detailed data extraction, compilation, analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, and Word) and common management system tools such as PeopleSoft. Detail- oriented with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and focus. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, be reliable and dependable, and work well in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels, along with knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to maintain positive and supportive relationships in a diverse environment, have a strong service acumen, and show consistent initiative to work independently and in
a team environment to manage workload and multiple or changing priorities.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Special Working Conditions:
The scope of responsibilities for this position includes the making or participating in the making of decisions that may have a material financial benefit on the incumbent. Therefore, you will be required to file an initial Conflict of Interest Form 700: Statement of Economic Interests within thirty (30) days from date of hire and on an annual basis; and complete the CSU sponsored ethics on-line training within thirty (30) days of appointment, and at least once during each consecutive period of two calendar years following the appointment.
