Position Description
Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Plan or direct development or communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public or stockholder perceptions of an organization's accomplishments or agenda
  • Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders' reports
  • Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for clients to increase product or service awareness or to promote goodwill
  • Research production topics using the internet, video archives, and other informational sources
  • Write and edit news stories from information collected by reporters and other sources
  • Conduct meetings with staff to discuss production progress and to ensure production objectives are attained
  • Set up, adjust, and operate audiovisual equipment such as cameras, film and slide projectors, and recording equipment, for meetings, events, classes, seminars and video conferences
  • Comply with all NCAA, Big 12 and Texas Tech University rules, regulations and policies


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in content creation including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, click affects, motion graphics, photo and video editing
  • Experience and/or familiarity working with Learfield Sports, IMG, or other media rights holders
  • Master's degree in related area
