Job Description

The Clinical Services Manager of the CSN Dental Faculty Practice is responsible for providing managerial supervision for the programs operated under Clinical Services; to provide clinical support for the Dental Faculty Practice, Dental Hygiene Program Student Clinics, and Dental Assisting Programs records and/or clinical support. In addition, this position will oversee the management duties of front office staff, including patient scheduling, billing and bookkeeping duties, staff scheduling, back office dental assisting professionals, and NSHE Residency Program as learners rotate through the DFP.

This position is responsible for coordinating with the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting Programs to ensure that student clinical and rotation needs are met. This position is also responsible for coordinating with the Dental Director to ensure that all budgetary and financial goals are being accomplished and to assist the Dental Director with special dental programs as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university and 5 years of experience in the dental field OR 13 years of related experience in a dental practice OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge in setting up and operating a dental practice
  • Knowledge of dental equipment
  • Knowledge of and ability to use dental terminology
  • Knowledge of Eaglesoft program
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups
  • Working knowledge of dental billing and insurance protocols
  • Ability to understand and Implement OSHA regulations as they apply to a dental practice
  • Adherence to CODA Accreditation Standards as related to Dental Faculty Practice/Dental Hygiene/Assisting Programs
  • Ability to conform to HIPPA and FERPA confidentiality regulations
  • Computer skills
  • Program development and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of Advantage/Budget Operations
  • Word/Spreadsheet/Dental Server
