Maintenance Technician Part-Time

The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Maintenance Technician Part-Time.

Applications will be accepted until 8/4/2017.

Perform preventative maintenance on all industrial laundry equipment. Perform custodial duties inside and outside the plant. Primarily responsible for maintaining the good condition (in excess) of 70 pieces of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment, by using extensive knowledge of preventative maintenance program. Assist Sr. Maintenance Technician with repair and/or replacement of malfunctioning mechanical, hydraulic, electrical parts or equipment. Perform regular custodial duties throughout the 30,000 sq. ft. plant. Maintain inventory of necessary cleaning supplies. Receive and stock all production supplies. Trash removal from all areas of the plant.

Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of pumps, motors and compressors required. Ability to operate cleaning equipment (floor buffers and snow blowers, etc.) required. Practical experience in the broad field of electronics, hydraulics, etc. Prefer experience working with laundry and dry cleaning equipment. Familiar with chemicals and solvents.

Preferred Qualifications:
Technical & mechanical (hydraulics, high-pressure steam and electronic training) preferred.
