About the Opportunity

The Laboratory of Neuroanatomy and Behavior (PI Rebecca Shansky) is seeking a new research technician. We are a small/medium-sized lab that studies sex differences in the neural circuits that mediate stress responding and aversive learning in rats. We are looking for someone to help us stay organized and productive by facilitating general lab activities and assisting grad students and postdocs with ongoing projects.

Competitive applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in neuroscience or closely related field and at least 1 year of experience in a rodent neuroscience lab. Outstanding organizational skills are a must, and experience with Python or Matlab coding, stereotaxic surgeries, fluorescence microscopy, and immunohistochemistry techniques would be a bonus. We especially encourage applicants from underrepresented or historically marginalized backgrounds to apply.
