Job Summary

The Director of Visual Content Strategies uses video and photography in a strategic way to support the University's marketing across all channels enables Integrated Marketing to respond to campus videography and photography needs. This position is also responsible for directing the creation of both short- and long-form videos, embedding those assets across marketing channels and providing a comprehensive strategy for how we build and improve our video and photographic libraries. This position is a critical advisor and collaborator across campus and provides guidance as needed to all campus constituents.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college university or art school
  • Two years of experience in
  • Demonstration of photography, video editing, graphics and animation craft skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office software
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in content creation for higher education
  • Strong technical and creative proficiency in operating cameras and production equipment to shoot photos and footage
  • Craft expertise with post-production hardware, software, technology resources and solutions
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills to production challenges
  • Strong project management skills including high level of accuracy, organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build consensus and collaboration, with service-oriented attitude and actions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and make adjustments under pressure with minimal direction

    Additional Requirements

    In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
