In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Job Summary
Provides key administrative support on behalf of the College of Podiatric Medicine for the Office of Academic Affairs (Pre-Clinical). Effectively manages course information and schedules, maintains confidential student information, and assists with the coordination and facilitation of the curriculum. This position reports to the Director of Pre-Clinical Education in the COMP/CPM Office of Academic Affairs.

1. Excellent computer skills necessary to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook and any other software programs required by this position.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact in a friendly, cooperative, and appropriate manner with administration, faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders.

3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to strategize.

4. Excellent ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet necessary deadlines. Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

5. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and be flexible with job assignments.

Required Qualifications
1. Education: AA degree and/or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

2. Experience: 3-5 years experience in a clerical office environment

Job Duties
Classroom Support Functions: Coordinates with Pre-Clinical faculty and staff to provide classroom support for the Pomona campus including processing room reservations, data entry and maintenance of 1st and 2nd year curriculum calendars, scheduling webcast recordings, facilitating quizzes, classroom setup and technical support. Assists with the organization of course documents and materials, exam pre- and post- materials, and materials related to course activities such as small groups, labs, workshops, online modules, etc. Serves as a lead proctor for exams and examination review periods.

Customer Service Functions: Monitors and responds to faculty and student emails through Outlook and the ticketing system. Coordinates with visiting instructors regarding upcoming lectures and course facilitation. Works closely with the Universitys Center for Disability (CDHP) to provide approved students accommodations and collaborates with colleges sharing COMPs curriculum.

Assessment Functions: Collaborates with team members on data entry and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases related to student grades. Assists as needed to create, edit, and finalize: assessments, discussion board forums, and makeup/remediation materials.
