Coordinator of Events and Facilities Operations

The Athletics Department at The College at Brockport, State University of New York is comprised of 23 sports and is accepting applications for a Coordinator of Events and Facilities Operations. The Coordinator is responsible for all athletic facilities and building management, event operations, scheduling both internal and external groups, staffing, and daily operations. This is a fulltime 12 month position that reports to the Assistant Athletic Director.

Major Responsibilities

    Serves as the Building Manager for the Tuttle Athletic Complex. Oversees and coordinates event management for intercollegiate events. Coordinates setups, breakdowns and changeovers for both Brockport athletic events and revenue generating events. Oversees daily operations of Athletic Department facilities including scheduling practices, games, club and recreational usage for internal and external users. Maintains athletic facilities and equipment. Provides scheduling, staffing and oversight for external users and events including contract development. Maintains and provides schedules of all athletic facilities to appropriate offices on campus through EMS system. Serves as liaison to Campus Recreation, Facilities Management, University Police, and Parking Services for campus wide events using Athletic facilities. Maintains, updates, and adheres to the Policies and Procedures Manual and the Emergency Action Plan for the department, including Child Protection Policy Training. Oversees student employment budget. Oversees Graduate Assistants and Interns. Weekend and evening hours are required.



Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university; experience working in facilities management and/or event management; supervisory experience; and, effective organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university and experience using software such as BANNER, EMS and/or Blackboard for scheduling purposes.

The Department of Athletics is an NCAA Division III program and a member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), Empire 8, NCGA and ECAC Conferences. The Athletic Department promotes the mission, reputation and identity of The College at Brockport. It consists of 100 professional staff members and volunteers that serve 600+ student-athletes in various roles.
