Job Description

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN), Delivery Services Department, is currently looking for a Coordinator of Delivery Services. Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, this position is responsible for assisting with the developing of procedures and processes while applying policy and professional skills in the management of the Delivery Services Department, which includes mail services, receiving and delivering goods, inventory and surplus sales. Other primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Apply current procedures and processes to ensure Delivery Services is responsible and accountable to college customers and college administration.
  • Help to ensure that accurate records are kept, and college assets and surplus equipment are accounted for.
  • Make decisions on how to ensure policy is followed, reviews analyses of inventory, surplus and postage account data, and provides recommendations on changes to programs or functions ensuring that overall goals and objectives are met.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field from a from an accredited college or university AND 3-4 years related professional experience (examples include: delivery services, asset management, inventory, surplus sales) AND 3 years related supervisory and managerial experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and reports.
  • Ability to analyze problem situations, identify feasible solutions, and present recommendations in a concise, logical and systematic manner.
  • Ability to use automated postage machines and warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to drive state Motor Pool Vehicle.
  • Ability to coordinate staff efforts, to facilitate a team environment, and to perform effectively as a collaborator.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals in a manner that contributes to building and maintaining an effective and cohesive work team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills. Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Familiarity with NSHE Board of Regents Policy.
  • Familiarity with asset tracking system(s).
  • Familiarity with Purchasing and Asset Accounting processes with regards to college equipment.
  • Familiarity with United Stated Postal Services and Federal Express guidelines.
  • Knowledge of receiving and mail services concepts.
  • Knowledge of NSHE insurance requirements.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Strong customer support skills.
  • Willingness to regularly interact with college departments.
