Essential Functions:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide classroom and clinical teaching for an undergraduate nursing program. The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for evaluating student theory and clinical performance according to established criteria and course objectives. In addition, provide assessment and validation of student's rationale for client care, validation of safety and effectiveness of student administered student care, and counsel and advisement of students relative to their clinical performance.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; a masters degree in nursing is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. The ability to work independently as well as with others to ensure student learning and program excellence is expected. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of collegiate teaching experience, basic computer skills, as well as recent clinical experience (within the past three years) in direct patient care. Distance education course work and simulation learning experiences are preferred. We are seeking candidates with collegial and collaborative leadership experience and a vision for the integration of teaching practice and scholarship.
