Salary Range:
$216,122 - $250,187 Annual Salary (Executive 2016-2017 Salary Schedule). Starting salary placement is generally at Step 1.

Duties and Responsibilities:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. A Master's degree from an accredited institution.

2. Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible community college leadership experience.

3. Demonstrated sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender, gender identity, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the students we serve and sensitivity to and knowledge and understanding of groups historically underrepresented, and groups who may have experienced discrimination.

4. Success integrating diversity as appropriate into the major duties outlined in the job description and in the duties listed in the District's hiring policy or demonstrated equivalent transferable skills to do so.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. An earned Doctorate from an accredited institution of higher learning.

2. Minimum of five years of demonstrated and increasing responsible leadership and administrative experience at the senior-level covering a large scope which should include instructional and student services programs, facilities, fiscal management for large budgets of restricted, unrestricted and bond funds, and oversight of technology resources.

3. Experience in a participatory governance and demonstrated understanding of collective bargaining in California higher education.

4. A record of hiring a diverse workforce and bringing equity-minded practices to an institution.

5. Experience in and/or demonstrated knowledge of the role of the community colleges in economic and workforce development.

6. Verified teaching or student service experience, preferably at the community college level.

SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE:

1. Describe how you have advocated for and led efforts in equity in your hiring practices, your allocation of resources, the investment in instructional programs, student services and the management of administrative services. Please provide specific examples. (Please limit response to 500 words.)

2. Describe your ability to engage students, staff, faculty and the administrative team in a meaningful way that demonstrates your abilities to take the time to be a leader who listens. Please provide specific examples (Please limit response to 500 words.)

3. Detail your understanding of and experience with the organizational, political and regulatory complexities of the California Community College system with primary focus being student success. (Please limit response to 500 words.)

4. Describe your experience in enrollment management, including strategies you have implemented for increasing enrollment in an equity-minded manner. Explain the role guided pathways; SSSP, Strong Workforce, non-credit and dual enrollment will play. Please provide evidence of success. (Please limit response to 500 words.)

5. Detail your abilities to be a champion for Evergreen Valley College as the fierce advocate of a college in a multi-college district, and the genuine and authentic partner with community groups, K-12 and local business and government that will strengthen Evergreen Valley Colleges relationships in San Jose and Milpitas areas. (Please limit response to 500 words.)

6. Describe your ability to provide sound fiscal leadership that relies on efficient use of resources in a basic aid funded college in an environment with significant bond resource. (Please limit response to 500 words.)

7. Detail your successful experiences in student engagement, participatory governance and collective bargaining with a diversity and equity lens. (Please limit response to 500 words.)
