Responsibilities:

The Associate Dean for Administration and Finance (ADAF) is the principal administrative and budget officer and strategist for the College, reporting to the Dean of Bouve College of Health Sciences. The Associate Dean leads a team of professionals with responsibility for all financial and budget operations, business modeling and planning, space management, personnel actions, grants and contracts administration (pre- and post-award) originating in the College, and faculty affairs support related to offer packages, space needs and merit review processes. The finance and budget responsibility includes direction and oversight for the operating, restricted, development, start-up, renovation and cost-share accounts of the College , and providing strategic analysis and advice to the units and the Dean to enhance revenue (currently totaling about $100m) and budget projections for decision support, growth and innovation. The ADAF supports strategic planning by developing and providing analytical reports (detailing enrollment, staffing, financial and space and facilities trends/requirements) needed for decisions regarding resource allocation. The Associate Dean serves as a key representative of the College across the university regarding collaboration opportunities, relevant administration and finance matters, and as such, serves on various College and University committees and working groups related to business processes, University reporting and data analysis, and faculty/staff evaluation, among other groups.

Qualifications:

Masters degree required, MBA preferred. At least 10 years of increasingly responsible leadership experience successfully managing all administrative facets of a large, multi-million dollar operation, preferably in higher education; experience with grant administration, project management and resource allocation; excellent communication, negotiation, and facilitating skills; at least 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience; Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and activities.
Demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse population of faculty, students and staff.
