Description: As an integral part of the registrar's office staff, this position requires an individual who is enthusiastic and determined to ensure the highest quality service is delivered to students, alumni, faculty and outside reporting agencies. The individual must be committed to insuring compliance with FERPA and maintaining confidentiality of student information. As a professional staff position, the employee is expected to conduct and manage projects. This individual needs to be a problem-solver with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the day to day processes in the Registrar's Office
Interprets and enforces academic rules and regulations as appropriate
Manage the processing and evaluation of transcripts from other colleges/universities and enter detailed data in students' education record; evaluate with Chairs and faculty on transfer coursework eligibility
Process new student program enrollments for first-time-freshman, transfer, and non-traditional students
o Ensure accuracy of all student data in program enrollment record
Develop and implements systems to maintain and perform data checks for all information pertaining to student academic records:
o Major/minor
o FT/PT
o Degree granted matched major declared
o Advisor lists
o General student data
Assist with coordinating, recording and tracking of Convocation events, keep accurate records of all convocations
Manage and maintain list of all classrooms to ensure cleanliness, accurate seat count and all work orders for all classroom buildings.
Perform end of session processes for grading
Monitors and complies a list of incomplete grades for UNDG and GRAD students with appropriate due dates; communicates with faculty to track student progress
Coordinate day to day needs for campus communications:
o Faculty communications
o Student communications
o Registrar information
Develop or assist with the development and implementation of efficient office operations, policies and procedures
Manage other projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
Registrar's Office or Higher Education experience preferred
General knowledge of all Registrar's Office functions as well as applicable laws preferred
Technology Skills:
Proficient with MS Office Suite, database management and web-based applications
Jenzabar CX experience preferred
Human Relations Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with leadership, management, faculty and staff through a consultative, collaborative and active-problem solving approach
Student focused sense of urgency and responsiveness
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
