Position: Assistant Professor of Hospitality Management

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Hospitality Management or an earned doctorate in a closely related field with at least one graduate degree in a hospitality related field
  • Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2020
  • Demonstrated potential for undergraduate and/or graduate level teaching and advising
  • Demonstrated potential for research, scholarly and/or creative activities
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three years of work experience in the hospitality industry
  • Active participation in professional organizations related to the profession
  • Managerial/administrative experience in hospitality industry
  • Experience in hotel/lodging operations
  • Demonstrated competence in program and curriculum development
  • Demonstrated competence in obtaining internal and external funding
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional organizations and/or professional activities
