Position Description Summary:
The Assistant Professor is expected to have a research agenda that expands the program portfolio in mechatronics design including potential areas such as servo drives and vision-based control, PLC-based mechatronics systems, advanced sensing and actuating, MEMS and NEMS, intelligent systems, and advanced robotics and automation, or other related topics. A research start-up package is anticipated for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Assistant Professor is expected to contribute to the delivery of teaching for the program's course offerings and conduct externally funded research; will complement and strengthen teaching and research related to the current development activities within the MCTR Program.

Demonstration of collaboration with both industrial and academic partners. Experience in developing proposals and applications for research funding leading to high quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.
