Job Details

Under general supervision of the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications and in conjunction with the goals and vision of the Director of Athletics, this position supports an athletics communications program that successfully promotes Northeastern student-athletes, coaches and athletics in all appropriate venues and that increases both public participation in local, state and national recognition of Northeastern athletics.

Qualifications:

Possession of a bachelors degree in communication, marketing, public relations, broadcasting, journalism, advertising or closely related field required; masters degree in a related field preferred. 2-5 years experience as a student assistant, graduate assistant or professional required, four years preferred, in athletic communications, communications, marketing, public relations or broadcasting. Experience in athletic communications, while not required, is strongly preferred.

Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and understanding of and follows all applicable NCAA, conference and University rules and regulations.
