Job Description:
APPOINTMENT: April, 2019
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for oversight and management of compliance matters relating to a Division I athletics program with a FCS football program. Position serves on senior management team and reports directly to the Director of Athletics. Primary athletics liaison with Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid Office, Admissions, and the University Bookstore. Tasked with development, communication, and implementation of compliance policies and procedures, interpreting conference and NCAA rules, and maintaining a comprehensive rules education program. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in sport management or related field or law degree. Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive, full-time experience in NCAA compliance at a NCAA Division I institution, Division I conference office, or NCAA National Office. Demonstrated competence in NCAA legislation, NCAA Compliance Assistant Software, LSDBi and APP data collection. Experience in developing NCAA rules education programming; experience in monitoring personnel, amateurism, recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, awards and benefits, and playing and practice season regulations. Experience in the preparation of waivers, squad lists, and NCAA forms and reports, including but not limited to collection and submission of APP data. Experience in issuing rules interpretations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Supervisory experience.
For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be"in hand" at the time of application.

Macomb is located approximately 75 miles from the Quad Cities International Airport (Moline, IL) and 70miles from the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (Peoria, IL).
WIU-Quad Cities (Student Population: 1,267): The only public university in the Quad Cities area, WIU-QC offers select undergraduate and graduate programs, including a doctorate in education and a doctorate in environmental studies, at its metropolitan campus in Moline, IL
