Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Management - Strategic Management

Position
California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), seeks a tenure-track faculty member in Strategic Management for Fall 2020. The ideal candidate will contribute to our strategic management group. An interest in Entrepreneurship or Family Business is desirable, though it is not a prerequisite to apply for the position. The Department of Management strives to attract and retain candidates who can further CSUF's identity as an institution that welcomes and embraces diversity.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should have completed, before the Fall 2020 semester, all requirements for a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Strategic Management, or equivalent, from an accredited institution
  • Evidence of or potential for publications in high quality journals is expected
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students and faculty is required
  • Experience as an effective teacher is highly preferred
  • Teaching and research interest/experience in strategy
  • Teaching and research interest/experience in entrepreneurship or family business is desirable though not required
  • Prior business experience is desirable

The Department of Management
The Department of Management is the largest and most research productive group of management faculty in the entire CSU system. We have 27 tenured and tenure-track faculty supplemented by 3 full-time lecturers and about 50 part-time faculty. Our faculty have recently published their research in journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Human Resource Management, among others. Department faculty are on the editorial boards of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Group and Organization Management, Human Resource Management, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Academy of Management Learning and Education. The department houses four centers of excellence that engage faculty and students with the business community- The Center for Leadership, the Center for Entrepreneurship, the Center for Family Business, and the Center for Entertainment and Hospitality Management.
