Job Description:


Accepting Applications for Academic Year, Fall 2020

The Veterinary Technology Program is accepting applications for the following adjunct faculty vacancy for the Fall 2020 semester:

VTSC 233 - Veterinary Parasitology

Locations: Canton campus

Dates: September 9 - December 24

Time: Mondays/Wednesdays; Lecture & Lab 1:00pm - 2:50pm

This course examines internal and external parasites important to veterinary medicine. Topics include parasite life cycles, pathogenesis, zoonoses, treatment, and prevention. Diagnostic evaluation and identification are also performed.

THIS POOL IS VALID THROUGH JUNE 30, 2021. APPLICANTS WISHING TO REMAIN IN THE POOL MUST REAPPLY AND UPDATE THEIR INFORMATION THEREAFTER.

Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.

Requirements:


  • Must be a credentialed veterinary technician or licensed doctor of veterinary medicine
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Must be knowledgeable in course content
  • Recent work experience related to course content
  • Teaching experience in higher education and/or at the community college level is strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body
  • Ability to contribute to a positive and supportive team culture



Additional Information:


Position Status: MCCC/MTA position

Semester: Academic Year, Fall 2020

Salary: $1,132 per credit, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites.
