Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Registration Specialist's primary function is to process and maintain dual credit and dual enrollment registrations and serve as the liaison to the area high schools, Administrators, Counselors and Faculty for all registration issues. This position is a member of the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment team and will lead student information and daily work flows related to technical enrollment operations, processing, and reporting. The specialist is responsible for the day-today Dual Enroll operations and provides recommendations to streamline enrollment operations processes.

  • Coordinate day to day enrollment processes Dual Enroll into Colleague in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with high school to ensure registration is complete by census date.
  • Process registrations for all DC/DE students while adhering to all college prerequisites.
  • Monitor dual credit adjunct faculty approval and course assignment to ensure compliance with College policy.
  • Track all dual credit and dual enrollment registrations and steps to enrollment on a daily basis.
  • In collaboration with high school partners, develop draft course schedules and work with Centralized Scheduling Office to build course schedules.
  • Serve as liaison to the area high schools for all enrollment issues.
  • Travel to district #502 High Schools in conjunction with other offices for onsite registration, testing, residency and records management.
  • Develop, maintain and/or revise DC/DE registration forms.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and team approach toward accomplishing institutional objectives by getting all registrations processed before 10th day.
  • Streamline the processes for placement testing in an effort to ensure placement testing completion prior to course registration.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the program; including processing parent consent form for Dual Enrollment Program, attending in service days at high schools.
  • Answer inbound calls and respond to student inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate program records, including enrollment contacts, instructor lists, course data.
  • Handle and resolve student registration issues.
  • Participate in program specific events, marketing activities, meetings and committees, and partner events.
  • Knowledge of all program and test score requirements.
  • Determine student residency status and correct discrepancies in student tuition payments due to residency.
  • Interpret holds and process permits or direct student to proper plans.
  • Responsible for verification of student information while maintaining student privacy according to FERPA.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of college policy by attending seminars and participating in departmental and college-wide committees.

  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Associate's degree or equivalent years of college required.
      • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Experience
      • Excellent communication skills required.
      • Experience with word processing, email, spreadsheets, internet and databases required.
      • Two years of experience in a busy office or college environment required.
      • Customer service skills required.


    Working Conditions:

  • PC, laptop computer, multi-line telephone, calculator, copier, fax, extensive use of telephone and computer.
  • Must be able to travel in their own vehicle to high schools within District #502.
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.


  • Hiring Range:
    Starting pay begins at $21.70/hr. based on experience.

    Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
