Job Summary

The Ledo Laboratory, at the Institute for Behavioral Genetics, University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position, to investigate how neuroimmune pathways regulate the formation, elimination, and plasticity of synapses during learning and memory in health and neurodegeneration. A major goal of the laboratory is to elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying synapse remodeling in health and disease, with an emphasis on the roles of microglia, immune molecules, and neuron-immune interactions in shaping neural circuit function.

By leveraging transformative technologies at the convergence of systems genetics, systems neuroscience, and human cellular models, the Ledo Lab seeks to address major questions related to memory processes in health, Alzheimer's disease, and neurodevelopmental risk states. Current projects use mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and maternal immune activation, immunometabolism as well as human iPSC-derived microglia and neuron-microglia co-culture systems, to define how immune pathways influence synaptic function, neuronal activity, and cognitive outcomes.
CU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. We are committed to creating a workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
