Location

(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Develops, organizes and implements comprehensive programs in the assigned college, department and/or unit. Responsible for preparing and organizing programs and activities. Promotes programs internal and external to the university and evaluates effectiveness. Ensures programs comply with university and USG policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Engages first- and second-year students, fostering engagement and supporting their academic and personal success
2. Develops strategic partnerships with student organizations and campus partners to create engagement opportunities and foster meaningful connections
3. Leads strategic planning and goal-setting initiatives and recommends improvements to enhance program effectiveness
4. Assists with Adulting 101, a multi-departmental initiative for all students that teaches essential life skills and career-ready competencies
5. Coordinates use of the Owl Life student engagement platform to promote events, track participation, and ensure compliance with university and divisional standards
6. Provides support for other divisional priorities and initiatives, as requested

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Additional Qualifications: (Preferred qualifications)
Experience with student activities, event coordination/planning, and student advising
Demonstrated experience with student development frameworks
Experience working in higher education and student affairs environments

Abilities
Ability to successfully interact with individuals/groups from an array of backgrounds, identities, experiences, and communication styles
Ability to recognize and protect confidential information and exercise judgment, tact, and diplomacy in handling sensitive information and situations
Ability to work as a contributing member in a team-oriented environment, successfully interacting with internal and external colleagues and partners

Skills
Proficiency in student engagement platforms and event management software
