Position Overview
Guest Services Representatives are the first point of contact for every visitor. This highly interactive, public-facing role involves greeting guests, answering questions, selling tickets and memberships, and helping ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience and memorable experience. The role takes place in an active environment with frequent in-person and phone interaction throughout the day.

Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and actively engage guests, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Answer questions about the garden, events, programs, and memberships with enthusiasm and accuracy.
- Sell admission tickets, memberships, and special event passes accurately using point-of-sale systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
- Support smooth daily operations while contributing to a positive guest-centered environment.
- Support retail operations by assisting guests with core retail tasks, such as selling merchandise.
Cross-Training
Employees on the Guest Services team receive training in the core tasks of the Retail team, ensuring seamless, positive guest experiences. At times, employees may be asked to temporarily work in the other area during peak times or unexpected situations; in these cases, they only perform only the tasks for which they have been trained.
Employees may also be considered for full cross-training, which qualifies them for regular shifts on the Retail team. Full cross-training is optional, manager-initiated, and dependent on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

Full Time or Part Time? Part Time
Work Schedule Summary: Flexible, part-time hours year-round, with increased hours during summer due to higher guest volume, events, and extended hours. Winter hours are reduced as the garden operates at lower capacity.Schedules vary weekly based on employee availability, team needs, and operational requirements.
