The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of general and reconstructive plastic surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery or foreign equivalent or eligible for such certification. Applicants who have completed an accredited microsurgery fellowship will be preferred.

Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students and plastic surgery residents.

Clinical responsibilities may include a broad focus on all aspects of general, aesthetic, and reconstructive plastic surgery.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science investigations in the field of plastic surgery and, specifically, gender affirmation.

The successful candidate will have primary duties at Penn Medicine's flagship, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
