Part-Time Women's Volleyball Head Coach

The School of Wellness, Exercise Science, and Athletics is seeking a part-time women's volleyball head coach. The coach will be employed as a coach and instructor of record for the in-season and off-season conditioning classes. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Dean and will work collaboratively with colleagues, classified staff, and the Exercise Science Chair. The position requires a candidate skilled in teaching, recruiting student athletes, and coaching water polo in an educational environment.

This position may include a combination of day, evening, and weekend assignments.

Other duties: Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: teaching scheduled classes; establish a positive and continuing rapport with local high schools and community volleyball organizations; promote student athlete academic and athletic success; must comply with all rules and bylaws in theCCCAAConstitution and Bylaws Manual.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Master's degree in physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, kinesiology, physiology of exercise or adaptive physical educationOR(2) Bachelor's degree in any of the aboveANDMaster's in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy OR(3) possess a valid California Community College instructor credential in appropriate subject issued prior to July 1, 1990 (per California Education Code 87355) OR(4) the equivalent.
