Vice President of Inclusion, Civil Rights & Title IX


The Opportunity



Louisiana State University (LSU) seeks a dynamic person to serve as Vice President of Inclusion, Civil Rights & Title IX who can lead the continued effort of positioning LSU as one of the nation's top public research universities. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Inclusion, Civil Rights & Title IX will provide leadership in the prevention of and response to all matters of discrimination on the LSU campus and will oversee initiatives that ensure students from historically underrepresented populations matter and belong in the LSU community with a focus on removing roadblocks to success such that gaps in achievement are eliminated. The VP will be responsible for developing, delivering, and overseeing LSU's Title IX compliance programs and obligations, as well as developing and overseeing an office investigating claims of discrimination against all protected classes for students and employees on all LSU campuses. This position will ensure compliance with federal, state, and LSU anti-discrimination laws and policies; oversee reporting to Board of Supervisors and Board of Regents on discrimination-related data; and manage Clery Act reporting responsibilities.



LSU comprises eight campuses stretching across Louisiana and includes more than 50,000 students and research expenditures amounting to $360 million. Within LSU are two health sciences centers offering various levels of degrees in medicine, dentistry, allied health, nursing, public health, and graduate studies. LSU's flagship campus, located in the state capital of Baton Rouge, is Louisiana's premier public institution. It is a land-, sea-, and space-grant institution enrolling nearly 36,000 students studying in nearly 200 bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and specialist programs.



Candidate​s​must possess a master's degree or Juris Doctorate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant progressively responsible leadership experience in diversity, inclusion, and/or matters related to discrimination against protected classes.
