Technology Support Analyst

Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a Technical Support Analyst in the department of CCES. The position provides support and troubleshooting for classroom computers, technology equipped classrooms, conference rooms, common areas and faculty/staff computers. This position should able to support multiple environments and platforms (PC and Mac) in addition to TEC equipment (projectors, screens, etc.)

Minimum Education/Experience:
Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelors degree and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the area of assignment; or bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess a working knowledge of Extron and Cisco software management; knowledge of campus desktop systems and operating systems (PC and Mac); knowledge of hardware systems; knowledge of standard software packages (i.e. Microsoft Office) applications; ability to effectively communicate technical information to a potentially non-technical audience; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise good judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written communication; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment; ability to cross-train and work with other units within CCES when necessary.
