About the Opportunity:
Northeastern University is seeking a ServiceNow Architect to join as a core team member of the Service Management and IT Operations team within the Information Technology Services division. The ServiceNow Architect plays a lead role in the delivery of ServiceNow Implementation projects, helping to drive strategic transformational change of service management at Northeastern. The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation and integrity of the ServiceNow application within the enterprise. They are also responsible for ensuring that the solutions delivered to the university are engineered in accordance with the organization's architecture, security, support, and infrastructure standards.

Responsibilities:
Perform ServiceNow implementation tasks including but not limited to requirements definition, configuration, integration, upgrades, and custom application development

Define cross-platform enterprise architectural plans and design documents that address the business, infrastructure, security, support and operational needs of a solution

Define technical and design approaches, participate in regular standup meetings, and advise technical/functional resources at a team-level on development and configuration activities

Identify and resolving potential trade-offs among architectural options, aligning solutions with business outcomes or impacts

Develop clear and concise technical architecture documentation

Understand new ServiceNow features and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption

Qualifications:
5-10 years of enterprise level application design/architecture experience

CSA certification is required. Advanced Scripting/ Reporting highly desirable.

Minimum 3+ years of direct experience as a ServiceNow Architect, designing and configuring core ServiceNow modules including core ITSM (Change, Incident, Request, CMDB/Discovery), Self-Service Portal, Performance Analytics, HRSD, and/or CSM. Experience with orchestration/integration hub is required. Experience with Safe Workplace and/or Custom Application Development on the ServiceNow platform are desirable.

Expert with Javascript and ServiceNow Javascript APIs.

Expert understanding of ServiceNow applications, and the proven, demonstrated ability to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable ServiceNow solution within the appropriate business context.

Strong understanding of cloud technologies and vendor landscape with ability to balance cost against benefits.

Strong understanding of middleware, networking, and database concepts.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including polished presentation skills with the ability to deliver technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and understandable manner.

The ideal candidate is innovative, creative, and self-directed, with strong problem solving and decision making skills, and a proven ability to be flexible, adaptable, and to learn new concepts quickly.
