JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Project Evaluator, the Research Manager will oversee data collection for the Institute for Trauma Treatment in Schools (ITTS), a project funded by the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In collaboration with the Evaluator, the Research Manager will take the lead on data analysis, management and dissemination.

With collaboration from Project Evaluator, the Research Manager will oversee and implement data collection, analysis, management, and dissemination as outlined by project-specific evaluation plans. This will include any pre-, mid-, and post-project assessments, as well as assessments associated with grant-related trainings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for internal data reporting to the internal and external project teams.

  • Lead on all IRB submissions including new protocols and continuing reviews, under the supervision of the Evaluator.

  • Participate in the grant writing process for new funding opportunities.

  • Exercise independence in developing data management systems.

  • Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of trainings outside of ITTS curriculum.

  • Responsible for duties related to data management, cleaning, organization, and analysis.

  • Contributes to funder-required reporting and will collaborate on preparation of peer reviewed conference abstracts, presentations, and publications.

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Social Work degree ;

  • Two years of experience in data management and analysis (relevant coursework may be substituted for work experience);

  • Proficiency with data management systems.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (e.g. Lookup formulas, pivot tables) required;
  • Proficiency in the Google suite required;

  • Proficiency in the Adobe suite required;

  • Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms required;

  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills required;
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills;

  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects;

  • Proven ability to perform duties with a high level of professionalism, flexibility; discretion, judgment, diplomacy and tact.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Qualtrics preferred;

  • Knowledge of externally-funded grants preferred;

  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite (e.g. Lookup formulas, pivot tables) preferred;

  • Advanced proficiency in the Google suite preferred;

  • Advanced proficiency in the Adobe suite preferred;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred;

  • Workday experience preferred.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This is a part-time, 25-hour/week exempt position;

  • In-person on-campus, hybrid, or fully remote work arrangement eligibility;

  • Typical office or home office environment, with moderate noise;

  • Sedentary work with walking or standing required occasionally;

  • Essential physical requirements include sitting, standing, and typing;

  • Physical effort/lifting is sedentary to light - up to 20 pounds;

  • The standard work schedule 25 hours during the work week, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
