Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, this positions exists to provide complex administrative support and oversight for the Vice President's office. Responsible for coordinating activities, performing complex to recurring activities, and representing and communicating on behalf of the Vice President with internal and external constituents. The position must demonstrate appropriate discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism in the ability to interpret and make decisions, interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external audiences. This position must work independently and handle a wide range of activities, such as researching, analyzing, and compiling data, making recommendations and preparing reports and/or presentations, and developing written and web-based communication, such as newsletters and the VPAA website. This position maintains a sense of the daily/weekly/monthly/annual functioning of CSN academic Schools, departments, and programs. This position assists the VPAA in maintaining open doors of communication through the academic areas of the institution.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and three (3) years' experience providing administrative support to a director-level position or above, or a manager of multiple departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience as an effective communicator; e.g., developing written communications such as reports, letters, announcements, newsletters, and/or other types of communications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize, and manage complex projects.
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, at times stressful environment where diplomatic communication and accuracy are expected.
  • Basic website management.
  • Experience working with WorkDay and PeopleSoft
  • Experience working in a post-secondary education setting

Starting Salary Range
Administrative Faculty C
$58,561 - $62,660
