Position Description
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
Communication & Media Coordinator
  • Plan, coordinate, and assess departmental events on budget.
  • Maintain CMLL representation online, including social media.
  • Assist/train faculty in the design and development of digital learning materials, from fully online courses to individual digital learning objects for face-to-face and blended courses.
  • Consults with faculty members to determine appropriate technology and strategies for course delivery, learning design, and tool usage.
  • Create CMLL promotional materials including print and video materials.
  • Represent CMLL at events, information fairs, tabling, or presentation opportunities.
  • Manage the CMLL ambassadors.
  • Fulfill generalist duties within CMLL.


Required Qualifications
High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for the required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of web design.
  • Experience in multicultural environments
  • Teaching experience will be a plus
  • Familiarity with language learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentational skills.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement instructional, digital, and multi-media products.
  • Experience in videography.
  • Project management skills.
  • Demonstrable initiative.
