Description of Duties:

The Client Support Specialist is an essential position that reports to the Deputy Chief Information Officer, and while resident at the Durham campus, will support constituents across both physical campuses and all online programs. This position is expected to work onsite at the Durham campus. The Client Support Specialist will serve as the face of ITS for this diverse community, which includes a user base at all levels of technological expertise. This position will maintain and support school-wide applications including, but not limited to, the Learning Management System (LMS) used daily by all students and teachers, the Student Information System (SIS), Google Workspace applications and processes, systems such as Active Directory for account creation and administration, and the ticketing and documentation systems (Jira and Confluence, respectively). The Client Support Specialist will help maintain, deploy, update, and support hardware, the campus network, classroom technologies, and more. The position will also identify trends, make proactive suggestions to solve systemic issues, implement IT solutions to enhance organizational success, serve as a business relationship manager that communicates relevant information to all stakeholders, and act as a liaison to relevant committees and councils.
