Position Summary: The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide Housekeeping floor maintenance for university academic and administrative floor space that may include cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, etc.; perform physically demanding work including moving of heavy equipment, furniture, and supplies; perform housekeeping cleaning/disinfecting services as needed, respond to emergency calls and after hours calls as needed. Perform building unlock/locking service on Saturdays, Sundays and/or during the week as needed.

Normal 2nd shift working hours are 4:00pm to 12:30am, Monday through Friday including weekend work. The shift hours and schedule will be flexible and may change to include working on Saturdays and Sundays depending on workloads and Department needs. Schedule adjustments, weekend and holiday work, responding to after-hours, weekend and holiday emergencies as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for this position:

Minimum Qualifications: Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
