Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; this is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2022 with a possibility of renewal on an annual basis if funds and/or program needs exist.

About the Position:
Information Technology continuously strives to produce a higher quality of services designed to meet the expectations of the campus community. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Exempt I. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Director, IT Records, this position is responsible for providing support to all campus populations using the CSU's systemwide Learning Management Systems (LMS). This position serves as the contact for several critical training areas including compliance and professional development. This position is part of a team and works together to accomplish goals. Coordinates with various functional departments to ensure timelines and scope of work are met. Supports day to day, troubleshooting, technical and analytical aspects of projects supported by the department. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs plus two years of related experience.

Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations. Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques. Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved. Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs. Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Background in instructional design, information technology, educational technology or related field. Experience with the SumTotal LMS and Skillsoft products. Experience with LMS audit logs and reporting tools. Knowledge of ticketing system and workflows. Understanding of Single Sign On and how this integrates with LMS. Understanding of UI experience and how to create learner engagement.
