The University offers a strong foundation in the humanities and sciences and undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs through eight schools.
Now in its second century of achievement, SMU is increasingly recognized for the ways it supports students, faculty and alumni as they become ethical leaders in their professions and communities. On the most beautiful college campus in the country, SMU Mustangs are energized by unbridled opportunities - from teaching, learning and research to creativity, performance and athletic endeavor.
About Department:
The SMU University Testing Center (UTC) is more than a place where exams are administered-it is an essential part of the university's commitment to student success. As part of Student Academic Engagement and Success within the Office of the Provost, the UTC provides high-quality testing services that help students demonstrate their knowledge in a secure, equitable, and supportive environment.
Every day, our team works alongside students, faculty, Disability Accommodations and Success Strategies (DASS), Athletics, and campus partners to remove barriers that might otherwise interfere with academic achievement. Whether providing accommodations, coordinating make-up exams, supporting student-athletes, administering placement or professional examinations, or helping students earn academic credit through testing, we strive to ensure every student has the opportunity to perform at their best.
Our work combines compassionate student service with the highest standards of professionalism. As a nationally certified testing center, we uphold the rigorous standards of the National College Testing Association while recognizing that behind every exam is a student working toward a degree, a career, or a personal goal. We believe that every testing experience should reflect integrity, respect, accessibility, and care.
If you are passionate about creating exceptional student experiences, collaborating with campus partners, and contributing to an inclusive learning environment where fairness and academic excellence go hand in hand, we invite you to join our team.
