Learning Commons Info Desk Supervisor - Part Time

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service support at the LC Info Desk, including but not limited to, equipment circulation, data collection, and assisting patrons
Supervise student employees working at the LC Info Desk
Work independently to enforce policies and procedures of the LC Info Desk
Supervise and assist peer educators as they hold hours in the Learning Commons
Manage activity in the Learning Commons and complete shift report
Close and/or open the LC, depending on shift
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Schedule includes Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts during fall and spring semesters
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty and staff using services within the Learning Commons
Customer service-oriented attitude
Sensitivity to the needs of students
Demonstration of positive attitude, diplomacy, tact, courtesy and a sense of humor
Superior written, interpersonal and oral communication skills
Ability to quickly respond to changing departmental needs
Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission
