 The Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability in the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences at the University of Oklahoma seeks an innovative scholar at the full professor level who has demonstrated leadership in investigating how communities adapt to and recover from environmental change. The ideal candidate will employ social science and policy research to develop and evaluate community resilience strategies in relation to high-impact weather and climate events, with an emphasis on societal systems that influence levels of resilience. Scholars whose research encompasses community-engaged strategies are especially encouraged to apply.










Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Geography or a related discipline. The successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate a vigorous, independent research program, to teach in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability (the standard load is 2-2), and to contribute to mentorship and advisement for students in our growing graduate program.
