Job Description:

Course Description:


This course focuses on assessment, diagnosis and management of common episodic and chronic conditions across the lifespan. Included is the application of their epidemiologic, pathophysiologic, symptoms complexes, and research-based treatments as well as appropriate patient education resources and protocols. Attention is given to the integration and application of advanced health assessment and critical-thinking skills, developmental and family theories, and health promotion strategies in the diagnostic and clinical management processes of the family nurse practitioner (FNP) role.



Requirements:




  • Degree requirements for position:




    • Doctor of Nursing Practice - Nurse Practitioner (DNP/NP) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)/Nurse Practitioner (NP) required




    • Current American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) required




    • Current unencumbered MA RN nursing license (required)




    • Nurse Practitioner (NP) registration required





  • Previous teaching experience:


    • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) /Nurse Practitioner (NP) program teaching experience preferred;




    • Hybrid or online graduate teaching experience preferred;





  • Other preferred experiences:

    • Current Nurse Practitioner clinical experience required


    • Current Family Nurse Practitioner clinical experience preferred



    • Curriculum development and research experience preferred.



  • If you operate a University owned, leased or personal vehicle at any time while performing your duties you must follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. You must have a valid driver's license and must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter. Additionally, you must report any driving offense, on or off company time, which causes a loss, suspension, or any other change in your license status. You must report this change within one business day of the offense. You can report this change to the Human Resource Department or your direct supervisor. Failure to do so can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including terminations.

  • Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
